They have built bicycles for over 100 years, and have a reputation for top quality craftsmanship and cutting edge styling and design, both of which are suggestive of the automotive industry of that early era. From the beginning, the Schwinn brand was synonymous with quality and recognized as being a cut above the competition. By the 1950s, they were well established as the “Cadillac” of American bicycles.
