The farmer’s walk is a staple in any self-respecting strongman’s training and, as the name suggests, mimics the most basic of manual labour – if you’ve ever shaken the hand of an old farmer who has done a lifetime of this sort of activity you’ll understand the true meaning of the phrase “real world strength”.
The Farmer’s Walk is one of the most simplest Strongman lifts to perform no matter what your level of fitness. However, finding a load of a reasonable size and weight distribution is often a problem. Using heavy dumbbells can be troublesome. The Xtreme Elite Farmer Walk Handles are designed to offer support while you are loading plates, ensuring the weight plates cannot come loose mid-walk and are protected from damage should you fail and drop them to the ground etc.
